Legislative Overview

This class provides instruction in using Oregon State Library databases, resources and services as well as Legislative Assembly resources to get you ready for the legislative session.  Resources will include access to: case law, legal periodicals, state level statutes, regulations, and bills.

What will I learn?
Class attendees will gain knowledge regarding the effective use of Oregon State Library & State of Oregon legislative and law resources and databases. These resources include Lexis-Nexis databases regarding state governmental actions and legislative efforts. In addition, attendees will learn how to identify bills of interest bills, statutory changes and government regulations. Internet resources that provide access to law and legislative resources and information will also be discussed.
