LINUS - Legislative Information Notification Update System
LINUS is a real-time Legislative bill tracking system that allows state agencies to track bills throughout the legislative process. This is a web-based application that is available to employees of state agencies and their statutorily defined agents.
DAS Human Resources Division, Statewide Training/Developmental Services, offers a series of classes regarding the LINUS system. More information regarding these training classes is available at:
The Oregon State Library can track Oregon measures, measures in other states, and federal bills for registered patrons. Please note that unlike the real-time alerting that the LINUS system provides, our alerting service has a 24-hour delay.
Via email, we can alert patrons regarding the status of individual measures. We can also, send email alerts when new legislation is introduced that is focused on specific subjects or includes keywords supplied by the patron.
Additionally, Oregon State Library subscribes to two Lexis-Nexis products, State Capitol Universe and Congressional Universe, that patrons can use to locate information regarding federal and state legislation.
If you are interested in tracking either federal or state legislation using Lexis-Nexis, please contact Jerry Curry at 503-378-5008, or jerry.w.curry@state.or.us. You may also use our current awareness request form to request tracking of measures.
Oregon State Legislature Web Site
Information regarding the status of legislative measures can be obtained from the Oregon State Legislature's web site:
The State Legislature maintains a web page that allows you to search by specific measure number and obtain the current status of that particular measure. This web page is available at:
Please note, this is not the same as "tracking" legislation and the results are not emailed to you. You will have to search for each piece of legislation individually.
